USJ(Universal Studio Japan)

September 23rd, 2006

Hi. This is my first time to post my blog here. I went to USJ this summer with my friend’s family. I’ve never been to USJ even though I stayed in the States for the past few years. it was much more fun than I expected! some of them are really amazing and overwhelming.

the attractions I personally recommend are:

  • Julassic Park(you get a ride on the boat to enter the world of dinosaurs. you are about to be attacked by a dinosaur at the end and pass under its crutch. after you make it, the boat will fall the water ramstam)
  • Back to the future(your feeling to rode on real DEROLIAN. you fly in the air go up and down like you are on a roller-coaster. it was intense but fun!)
  • Water World(it makes you feel as if you are in the “water world” movie, powerful performance especially stant in the battle scene, motor jets, personal watercrafts, fireball and water splash!)

if you ever have a chance to go there, please try these. also share your recommendations too!!

Fortune paper doll ??

August 25th, 2006

This is another picture from Takayama. I must have taken this on the old private houses street. but I could’t remember what it was. my friend said it looks like a fotune paper doll(you insert changes, then the doll shakes the container and gives you a fortune paper)…but I just don’t remember!

I might have some clues to remember if it was taken from the front… but this weird pic from the side really bothers me…

if anyone knows about it, please help me :)

Miyamae-bashi Torii(shrine gate)(Takayama)

August 22nd, 2006

Hi. I was in an obon vacation. Obon is a big family gathering time besides new year’s holidays. it’s been really hot all over Japan. This heat takes my energy away by eating “Kakigori(bowls of shaved ice with syrup. my favorite is macha and some condensed milk)”.
Anyway, I found some more pictures I took in Takayama.
This is a shrine gate at the end of Miyamaebashi which leads toward the entrance of Sakurayama Hachimangu shrine. it really stands out as it is built in the middle of bridge. I saw some people were taking pictures from the same direction.
