Tori-soboro Rice(minced chicken on rice)

I usually put two to three color toping for more variety. it looks better, isn’t it

1.stir fry chicken with some cooking oil.

2. add 2 large spoon of sake, some minced ginger, 1 large spoon of soy sauce and sugar.

3. cook it with midium heat until chicken gets brown color. adjust flavor as you like.

4. put it on rice with scrumble egg and sauteed carrots or green peppers.

my friend’s mom cooked this dish one time while I was staying in Japan.
she put pink powdery thing on top instead of carrots.. can’t remember the name, it was sweet and dry stuff.

    Hi Amy,
The pink stuff you are talking about we call Sakura-denbu. Sakura-denbu is made from fish(snapper and cod etc).
We use it for futomaki and chirashi:)

  3. Amy Says:

Oh, that was fish powder?? humm… Japanese people eat a lot of fish for sure :)
    thanks, machiko.
