How to use our eBook features

What makes the e-version of infomapJAPAN easy to use?
In the publishing world, there has been a rapid transition from print to eBooks with the spread of interactive devices such as iPad, iPod, Kindle and so on. Following this trend, our publication will be re-born as a digital book to provide users with fresh information and a more interactive travel guide. Here are some of the features of the e-book version of "iNFOMAP JAPAN".

interactive maps

When you click on maps of major cities in the e-book, you will be linked to an interactive map. The spots introduced in the e-book can be seen by clicking icons. You can zoom in and out, and move around the map just like Google. It will help you understand the destination in greater detail with a wider or narrower scope.

easy to print

You can print maps or pages you want easily with this e-Book. Simply click the print button on the bottom. You can select a printing option from left page, right page or two-page spread. This is much easier than downloading and printing pdf files.

custom controls

At first, pages might appear too small to read but you can control the page size by zooming in and out. Simply click "+" or "-" on the tool bar at the bottom.

custom labels

You can paste your own sticky note on the e-book. This tool comes in very handy when you want to put some useful or important info on the page. Stickies will be stored in cache even if you close the e-book. Stickies will be there when you open the e-Book again unless you delete the cache.

pen tool

You can draw lines freely with the pen tool. There are several options for line type, dot width, color and more. It is useful when you want to draw your travel route or the order of sightseeing spots to visit etc. It will be stored in cache just like custom labels.

easy links to related websites

When the cursor area is changed to red, that means the area has a related link site. You can easily jump to the related website for more details by clicking there. Also, the movie "Play" icon allows you to link to a movie site or play a movie on the area in the e-Book.
