 Shinakansen Reservation Usage Steps |
Step 1. Membership Registration -FREE-
Easily obtained and free membership registration necessary to use "JR EAST Shinkansen reservation". Credit card is only requirement.
Step 2. Reservation Application
Reservations are accepted from one month to 5:00 p.m. (Japanese Standard Time) three days prior to train departure. A departure station must be
designated at the time of application.
* Please note the ticket must be picked up the day before travel day and not on the day of arrival;
a precautionary measure to avoid ticketing problems in the event of flight delays.
Step 3. Reservation Seat Arrangement
Read carefully ticket booking terms of agreement before making a choice.
Step 4. Reservation Result Reply
Your booking confirmation will be sent via e-mail. View / change / cancel your
reservation using this e-mail and password chosen for membership registration.
Step 5. Reserved Seat Ticket Pick Up
Please bring your reservation number and same credit ard used for reservation
process to collect and pay for your ticket. (Bring a copy of the Reservation Result e-mail
to ease the procedure.) Reserved Seat Limited-Express Tickets must be collected by
9:00 p.m. (Japan Standard Time) on the day prior to departure; reserved tickets not
picked up are automatically canceled and subject to a cancellation fee. Please pick up
ticket at the same Station Ticket Window indicated on your reservation form.
